Awesome route guys! Thanks for all the info. Here's our route through the Highlands but only camping, done in October 2018.

1 Ipoh - Kampung Raja
75k, 2000m elevation. Brutal, long, steep climb but with some nice views and wide road with shoulder. No food (some spring water) for 45kms from Simpang Pulai. We camped at mosque entering the town under a shelter.

2 Kampung Raja - Pos Betau
94k, 1500m elevation. Steady climb to the slightly underwhelming Cameron Highlands tea plantations then down and left at Ringlet. Awesome down hill, amazing road over treetops of jungle with large shoulder. Spectacular views of the forest bellow. We camped at an abandoned mosque but 500m further on the main road was a clinic, where we got water in the morning and a much better camping spot!

3 Pos Betau - Raub
70ks, 400m elevation. Beautiful road through palm tree plantations but narrow at times and some big trucks. We asked to camp at fire station in Raub and one of the workers took us to the local Taman Bandar park instead where we pitched our tent under a shelter and showered in a sink.

4. Raub - Fraser's Hill - Kuala Kubu Bharu
69ks, 1500m elevation. Best days riding we have done in months! Stunning tiny road carved through the jungle, no traffic, good gradient. No food for 55kms from Taman Seroja. We found an awesome camping spot opposite an India restaurants. There's a big billboard with cyclists on it and symbol for shower, toilets, food and parking. We asked around and everyone said it was fine to camp under cover in the car park.

5. Kuala Kubu Bharu - Batu Caves - KL
70km, 400m elevation. B57 through Selangor State Park. Steep hills but great scenery and not much traffic. Batu Caves and then follow Jalan Sentul road pretty much all the way to Patronas Towers.
